0 Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A goes official with 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 CPU

Samsung has announced the world’s first LTE Advanced network has been switched on in Seoul, which is capable of speeds up to 150Mbps, and users could download an 800MB file in an astonishing 43 seconds. As 4G LTE only went live there in mid 2011, this is a huge leap forward in a very short amount of time.

 It has a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Galaxy S4, but this one is powered by a  2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor instead of Snapdragon 600 in the LTE version of the Galaxy S4. Other features are the same including a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, Full HD video recording, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 2600 mAh battery.

The main difference between the Galaxy S4 LTE-A and the version we are familiar with already is the presence of a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood. The rest of the specs are familiar - they include 5" 1080p Super AMOLED display, 13MP camera, 32GB of built-in memory, microSD card slot, and IR port.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A would be available this summer in Blue Arctic and Red Aurora colors starting in Korea. It would be available at a price of 900000 South Korean Won (~US$780) from the Korean carriers SK Telecom (SKT) and LG U+. More color options would be added soon.

Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy S4 zoom, the company’s flagship camera phone. It has a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and Xenon Flash. It has a 4.3 inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor (Chip varies based on the market) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Unlike the Galaxy Camera, you can make calls with this since it has an ear piece. It also comes with LTE support in select markets. This has a Zoom Ring that lets you zoom and offers new features such as In-Call Photo sharing via MMS to the caller with just a twist. It also lets you activate the Quick Launch and Shortcut features. The dials from the Galaxy Camera have been replaced by digital controls.The Photo Suggest instantly connects you to huge libraries of images taken by fellow photographers and directs you to the ideal nearby location. It also has 25 Smart Modes, including the Smart Mode Suggest feature that suggest the best mode based on surrounding factors such as light levels, focal length, or face detection.

0 Samsung Galaxy S4 mini Launched with 4.3" Super AMOLED Display

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini was just officially announced and it's everything the rumors made it out to be. It packs a 4.3" qHD Super AMOLED display and many of the advanced features of its daddy.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's extensive TouchWiz customizations on top. That includes the WatchON app with IR blaster, an 8MP camera with Sound & Shot and Panorama modes (but no double shot or 360 photo), Group Play and S Health (but without the barometer, temperature or humidity sensors).

The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 1.5GB RAM and while Samsung didn’t explicitly say what the chipset is, it's clear that it's the Snapdragon 400 chipset used in the Mega 6.3. There's 8GB of built-in storage, expandable via the microSD card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini measures 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.94mm and weighs 107g compared to 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm and 130g for the full-sized Galaxy S4. It packs a 1,900mAh user-replaceable battery and will launch with two color options, White Frost and Black Mist.

On the connectivity side there are three options – the top of the line model with LTE connectivity (and NFC), a 3G HSPA+ model and a dual-SIM 3G model. There's also dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS + GLONASS.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini will be shown off at the June 20 event. It's probably then when we'll also learn more about its pricing and availability.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 last week. Now images of the Galaxy S4 mini has surfaced online. Ermek has leaked the pictures of the Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9190) on Twitter. According to SamMobile, the S4 mini would feature a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display with 256ppi pixel density. It would come with a 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Touchwiz Nature UX 2.0.

SamMobile has got hold of some live photos of the smartphone, which reveals a design quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S4. The photos below confirm that the S4 mini will even feature the back cover design of its bigger brother.

The Galaxy S4 mini is much smaller than the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S3.

The Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9190) will be available in a dual-SIM version as well (probably carrying the Galaxy S4 mini duos moniker and GT-I9192 model number).

According to the source the Galaxy S4 mini is expected to make its debut in June or July this year.
