Subway Surfers - Endless running game now on streets of Rome

Subway Surfers , which is my favorite endless running game bar none, has just pulled up at a new stop in its ongoing World Tour. And this particular stop is nothing but magnificent .
After taking us to the New York City Subway and treating us to the carnival in Rio de Janeiro , Subway Surfers is now transporting us to the streets of Rome.
Yes, the Subway Surfers World Tour is now taking place in a virtual version of Rome, which is, of course, filled with fountains, clotheslines, and pillars.
And like the previous World Tour stops, Subway Surfers’ Rome edition introduces a new character and new boards.
Subway Surfers
The new character comes in the person of Roberto, the Italian scooter kid. For a limited time only, you can add him to your character collection using 95,000 coins.
As for the new boards, there are four: Starboard, Scoot, Kick-Off, and Chicky.
Starboard is free, Scoot can be bought for 35,000 coins, and Kick-Off is available for 50,000 coins for a limited time only.
Chicky, for its part, requires something a little more special. To unlock the Chicky board, you must hunt for and collect 100 Easter eggs. And you must do so as you surf through Rome while the train inspector pursues you in his hilarious Easter bunny suit.

Available free on iTunes and Google play store .

The Croods - amazing iOS/Android game review

The Croods is a new iOS and Android game from Angry Birds creator Rovio. It’s a tie-in with the new Dreamworks movie of the same name, and is currently available as a free download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play, with additional in-app purchases of in-game currency.
The Croods sees players taking control of the prehistoric family from the movie and guiding them through various misadventures as they attempt to become self-sufficient and invent various items. Basic game play revolves around trapping ten different types of animal, feeding them the correct food to tame them, building them a home and then feeding them to make them produce useful items. These items are then subsequently used to build other structures, trap more types of animal and invent various items which unlock new areas on the game map.
Players’ progression through the game is measured through the usual experience point system, and also through a sequence of quests(here rather aptly referred to as “chores”) provided by one of the characters from the movie. Players earn small quantities of experience points for everything they do, but practically speaking they will have to complete the quests in order to progress at anything approaching a satisfying rate, since quests offer significantly higher rewards than single actions.
Social features for the game include the ability to connect to Facebook and invite friends, but at present there doesn’t seem to be a lot to do when visiting neighbors. The “fake friend” the game provides players with implies that there will be something to do with friends soon, but at present this is a largely unnecessary feature. In the meantime,it is also one of two features — the other being cloud saves via a proprietary Rovio account — that mean the game requires a network connection to play, or at least  start;  the connection dropping once the game has begun appears to allow the player to continue playing for at least a short time. It is arguably not unreasonable for a game intended to be played on mobile devices to require a data connection, but given the recent controversy over EA’s SimCity game and its “always-online” requirement, this is something that developers should probably take care with, at least in the short term.
The Croods isn’t a particularly bad game — its audio-visual presentation is good and captures the personality of the movie’s characters quite well — but its game play is somewhat uninspiring. At heart, it is yet another licensed property that has been adapted into an isometric-perspective game about waiting for timers to expire. While these types of game are demonstrably popular and profitable, it’s disappointing to see a developer as creative as Rovio taking what appears to be the path of least resistance for many mobile game designers. With this in mind, it’s tough to recommend The Croods with any real enthusiasm, but the movie tie-in factor coupled with the fact that the audience still seems receptive to this type of “freemium” experience means that it will likely enjoy some success at least in the short term.

Angry Birds for iPhone and iPad goes free, with 15 new Bad Piggies levels

Rovio has finally made the original Angry Birds free for the iPhone and iPad. Rovio launched the most popular Angry Birds game for iOS back in 2009, and this is the first time the game has gone free. This might be a limited period offer, but we are not sure until Rovio announces it officially.

The Angry Birds Rio for iPhone and iPad went free back in January. It was supposed to be a limited time offer, but the game is still free, so even the Angry Birds classic might also remain free.
The new version 3.1.0 update also brings 15 new levels for the Bad Piggies episode.
Get the Angry Birds for iPhone and iPad for free, if you don’t have them yet.

App that teaches financial literacy to peoples

Mindblown Life is a mobile app that is designed to help young people achieve financial literacy. In the game, you can create your own customizable avatar and have it go through life making tough financial decisions, like how much to spend on food.
Most people aren't born knowing how to be smart with money. That's something you learn, often just a little too late. So how do you teach young people financial literacy before they run up their credit card bills, or take out too many student loans? One way is to get them where they live -- on their phones. Mindblown Life is a new mobile phone app. It's designed to help high school and college kids learn how to manage money by playing a game. You can create your own avatar and have it go through life making financial decisions about spending and saving, choices we've all had to make. Jason Young is one of the creators of the app.

Today's Game for iOS is Noble Nutlings ( Bad Piggies Game )

Noble Nutlings is the game Bad Piggies should have been. Put together by former Rovio employees, it's as addictive as you would expect but goes beyond the more staid and slow gameplay of a typical Rovio game.
Noble Nutlings is what happens when the gloves come off and those talented app developers are allowed to run riot. Think of it like Trials Evolution and you'll have a good idea of how it plays. So should you download it?
Noble Nutlings is free on iTunes

The game works on a fairly simple premise. You build a car from parts and then negotiate increasingly difficult tracks while trying to stop your creation from tipping over. You can tilt the car left and right as well as accelerate and boost it. This can be done with on-screen controls or by using the accelerometer. We prefer the on-screenoption.
Parts for your car cost coins, which you acquire by collecting acorns with it during each level - the more acorns, the more coins. Some later levels will be near impossible without the better parts for your vehicle, so you have to invest in getting the most acorns possible from each level before you progress.

There's also the option to buy coins with in-app purchases, but we didn't find it necessary provided we took our time.
The gameplay really is what matters here. Noble Nutlings isn't as complex as Bad Piggies and nor does it quite have the refined tactics of Angry Birds, but this is a very different game. It is exciting and frustrating, built to have you coming back to each level until you get those elusive three stars and every acorn.
