0 Apple says: 'Do Not Disturb' bug will probably self-fix by January 7

The popular Do Not Disturb feature stops the iPhone ringing unless specific or persistent callers are trying to get in touch. 

Since January 1, however, it has not turned itself off at the time specified by users.

In a new support document, Apple acknowledged the problem, describing it as” after January 1st, 2013, 'Do Not Disturb' mode stays on past its scheduled end time," the Telegraph reports.

It said, however, that "Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off."

Apple iOS developer Patrick McCarron suggested on Twitter that Apple had made a common mistake by incorrectly formatting how the iOS software defines dates, allowing the underlying software, based on Unix, to define the final week of 2012 as ending on January 7.

According to the report, that would mean the feature would resolve itself as Apple suggests.

You read it right. The app called Cycloramic from Egos Ventures makes the iPhone 5 vibrate in such a way that it spins in a 360-degree circle handsfree standing on end, all while recording a video of the surroundings.

"Gathered around a dinner table, in a bar, in a club, at home, at a conference table, or at a historical monument? Cycloramic allows you to capture the moment (handsfree) in a unique and fun way whilst making you and your phone the talk of the event.

To watch the app in action, you need to place your iPhone upright on a flat smooth surface. After you tap the “Go” icon, the app will count down from three make the phone rotate on its own while recording video even without you touching it. Once it’s done, the video will be saved on iPhone’s camera roll.

Cycloramic, available in the App Store for $0.99, has some limitations as well, said a TECH Crunch report. The user has to ensure that the phone’s vibrator settings are set properly or else the app won’t work.
