Apple launches iPhone 5C - Based on iPhone 5, Prices Starting from $549

Along with iPhone 5S, Apple announced the iPhone 5c. The device will be replacing the iPhone 5 and will be priced lower to reach out to a larger audience. The smartphone lived up to the numerous leaks, combining iPhone 5 internals with a plastic outer shell that comes in a number of bright colors. it uses a new construction method that has a reinforced steel structure.
Here come the specs – a 4" Retina display with the same resolution (640 x 1136 pixels), Apple A6 chipset (same as iPhone 5) running iOS 7, 8MP / 1080p camera, 100Mbps LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. The iPhone 5c is thicker than the iPhone 5 - 9mm vs. 7.6mm - and heavier - 132g vs. 112g.
The camera is an 8MP iSight unit with BSI, hybrid IR filter and a 5 element lens. The front camera is now better with a 1.9 micron pixel size, BSI. The iPhone 5C will have support for dual band WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE as well. The phone will be available for $99 for the 16GB version and $199 for the 32GB version on a two year contract.

Apple also plans to introduce a range of new cases that looks very snazzy at a price point of $29 each.

The subsidized unlocked prices for the iPhone 5C 16 GB version will be available for 549$ and the 32 GB version will be available for 649$. Let me do the direct conversion for you, the Indian National Rupee prices will likely be – Rs. 35,500/- for the 16 GB version and Rs. 42,000/- for the 32 GB version, rounding off to the nearest values without taxes and import duties.

Apple iPhone 5S officially unveils, Brings new A7 processor and Fingerprint sensor, prices starting from $649

Apple has announced the eagerly anticipated iPhone 5S in an event held at its campus . iPhone 5S is first of apple iPhone series device to be available in gold, Slate and Silver colours. It is powered with new A7 64 bit processor along with M7 Chip, first smartphone to be run on 64 bit processor. The iPhone 5S also brings an updated camera and revamped internals, read on to find out what the iPhone 5S is all about.

The A7 chipset

The Apple A7 is the first 64-bit mobile processor that has 2X the performance of the previous generation. The M7 on the other hand is a co-processor that can detect motion using a trio of sensors – Accelerometer, Compass and Gyroscope. Developers will be able to take advantage of it using their APIs.

What's more, regular apps will now have more information about things such as your mode of transportation. Thanks to the M7 processor, the Maps app, for instance, would be able to automatically switch to pedestrian mode as soon as you pull over your car and get out.

8MP camera

The new camera has a wider f/2.2 aperture (as opposed to f/2.4) and a 15% larger image sensor, which however is still 8MP. The larger surface has allowed for larger, 1.5 micron pixels (as opposed to the usual 1.4 micron ones). A larger camera sensor provides the benefit of lower image noise in low-light conditions and better tonal dynamic range in high contrast scenes.
There is also a new double LED flash on the iPhone 5s, which Apple has dubbed True Tone, called this way because it allows to achieve more accurate colors tone. It consists of two LEDs, with each having a different color temperature. By analyzing the scene, the iPhone 5s would decide what mix of the LEDs' color temperatures is needed to achieve a naturally lit scene. The dynamic mixing of the LEDs color temperature allows for up to 1000 variations of the light output temperature.

The camera also comes with new image stabilization, albeit digital one. It works by taking four photos with a short exposure time. Then the best parts of those photos are combined into one image with as little noise, subject motion, and hand shake as possible.

Slow motion video is also coming to the iPhone, with 720p 120 fps video capture. Pro Tip – Samsung just announced this for the Note 3 recently. The photo samples Apple showed at the Keynote looked really impressive, as usual.

Touch ID

iPhone 5s sports a touch sensor embedded into the Home button. It's called Touch ID.The Touch ID sensor is hidden behind a sapphire crystal lens. Around there is a metallic ring, which would detect the presence of your finger and activate the sensor without you pushing anything. It is 170 microns thin, senses 500 ppi and even scans your sub-dermial skin layers. The demo established that Touch ID is highly accurate.

Battery

Moving onto battery life, Apple stated that the standby time will be better than the iPhone 5 at 250 hours while you can do with 10 hours of browsing on LTE.

Price

As expected the iPhone 5s will be priced just as the iPhone 5 - in the US, at least, it will cost $200 for the inadequately equipped 16GB version, $300 for the overpriced 32GB version and $400 for the splurge 64GB edition.
The iPhone 4S 8GB will be heavily discounted and will be selling for free on a two-year contract. Sadly, the iPhone 5 will be discontinued, obviously to make way for the iPhone 5C.

Unlocked Apple iPhone 5S is priced at $649(Rs. 41,750) for the 16GB version, 749$(Rs. 48,200) for 32 GB and 849$(Rs. 54,616) for the 64 GB version.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Full Specs

Samsung's freshly unveiled Galaxy Note 3 phablet has been treated to a bigger screen, a high-performance mobile processor and a new finish. We get a closer look at this latest outsized handset and its updated spec sheet at the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin.
Screen size keeps creeping gradually upwards with the Samsung Galaxy Note series. After trying out 5.2" then 5.5" formats, the latest addition to the Note range can be seen sporting a 5.7" display. The screen itself is still based on AMOLED technology and resolution has been upped to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels). What's more, Samsung has once again chosen to out two different versions of this phablet—one for Asian markets running a home-grown Exynos 5420 SoC and one for the rest of the world with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800.

As seen in other devices, the Snapdragon 800 is a 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU with an Adreno 330 iGPU that breezes its way through games. There's also a 3G/4G LTE modem onboard. The Note 3 has 3 GB of RAM and runs on a 3200 mAh battery, adding 100 mAh to the previous model. It'll be available from 25 September in 32 GB and 64 GB versions.

Nokia Lumia 1520, 6" device image leaked, sized up next to Lumia 1020

Nokia Lumia 1520 is rumored to feature a 6" 1080p display and run on the latest Snapdragon 800 chipset. Other alleged specs include a 20MP camera on the back, wireless charging support, a polycarbonate body and Windows Phone 8 GDR3.

Today we get to see what is allegedly a live photo of the phablet. How we know it's indeed the 6" Lumia 1520? Well, the phones next to it is the recently launched Lumia 1020 and it's easily dwarfed by the Lumia 1520.

With the screen switched on, we also seem to be getting our first look at the upcoming GDR3 update that would bring support for 1080p screens, faster processors. To make use of all that screen real estate, Windows Phone will now allow you to place a double wide tile next to a medium sized tile. Additionally, a third row of tiles can be placed on the homescreen. The leaked image closely resembles an image that had earlier this year that claimed to depict the front panel for the upcoming device. Additionally, the engraved proto.nokia.com text is true for all Nokia prototype devices.

My Comment - Phone seems to be over priced . At nearly 20k this phone may struggle to make impact at this price point. Micromax is well known for their budget devices , if they are launching mobile at this price they have to think about more and innovative features to be introduced in that mobile.
that' all about my view . what do you think ? Do comment bellow.

Rise alarm clock - iOS App of the Week, available for free to download

Rise alarm clock named iOS App of the Week, available for free download
If for whatever reason the default alarm clock in iOS isn't doing it for you, Rise happens to be one of our favorite third-party substitutes. And this week, Apple is giving away the app —normally $1.99—at no charge as part of its revolving App of the Week promotion. Rise's dead-simple interface (you slide a finger up or down your iPhone's screen to set a wake-up time) and elegant design make its normal price easy to part with, but when it's up for grabs at no cost to you, we're pressed to find any reason why you shouldn't give it a shot. You may be thankful you did starting tomorrow morning.

Xolo, the brand name under which Lava releases their smartphones in India has launched its cheapest smartphone in the Xolo line-up. After launching flagship devices, the war has once again intensified in the entry-level segment and we are not surprised at Xolo’s launch.
Xolo A500S is currently the cheapest Xolo phone available in the market today as the predecessor Xolo A500 has been discontinued. Xolo A500S comes with certain enhancements over the previous model and with just a slight hike in price.

The most impressive change is the OS. Xolo A500S comes with Android Jelly Bean version 4.2. That is so far the latest as Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is yet to debut on a smartphone. Xolo seems to be targeting the budget Android segment with the A500S. The latest smartphone is believed to be a successor to the Xolo A500 which is now available for Rs. 6,499 at online retailers.
Last month, Xolo launched the Play T1000 smartphone powered by Tegra 3 quad-core processor for Rs. 15,999.

Moto X Launched with X8 Chipset, 4.7" AMOLED Screen and Available in 18 Colors

The Moto X went official in the USA, with a ton of information(aka press coverage) doing the usual internet rounds. With modest hardware specifications, Motorola has taken a completely different approach with its latest flagship device. So different, it makes you wonder what really is special with this device. Unless you want to read through various long form articles, you won’t really know what the stand-out features are. We have taken that effort instead, so here is a compiled list of really interesting Moto X features you definitely need to know

Ergonomic design and customisations
The Moto X, according to various hands on reports, has a really comfortable design. Thanks to the slightly conically shaped back and an extremely thin and curved bezel, the device sits perfectly in the hands, and is apparently one of they key design decisions they took
10 Megapixel RGBC camera
The camera on the Moto X is a 10 megapixel 1/2.6″ sensor with a pixel size of 1.4 um. This is slightly bigger and possibly better than the recent flagships with 1/3″ sensors and 1.1 um pixel sizes. It also sports a f2.4 lens and a true 16:9 format sensor. But one thing that stands out is the colour filter Moto has chosen to use on top of the sensors. This is provided by the Omnivision OV10820 and OV660combo.
Touchless control for Google Now
Another interesting feature that already leaked before the announcement, is the always listening Google Now service for the Moto X. This is called “Touchless control” and is primarily enabled by the specific NLP(Natural Language Processor) in the Moto X8 chipset. Acting as one of the cores in the 8 core chipset, this NLP is always on and keeps listening for a specific voice command, in this case, it is “OK Google”, just like the Google Glass
