The Sony Xperia Z tablet will be available in
two variants, with the price of 16GB Wi-Fi (SGP311) model expected to be Rs
35,000 approximately and the 32GB version (SGP312) slightly higher at Rs
37,000. Both the models will come in black, although only the 32GB version will
be available in white.
The powerful tablet boasts of 1.5 GHz quad-core
APQ 8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Android's4.1.2 operating system and 6000
mAh battery life.What's amazing is that this heavy-duty 10.1-inch tablet,
weighs under 500 grams and is just 6.9mmthick.
The slate also boasts of water and dust proof properties like its
high-end sibling, Xperia Z smartphone . It also flaunts a primary 8.1-megapixel
snapper and a 2.2-megapixel secondary
camera along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. On the connectivity
front we have NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
While Sony has had not so successful run in the
tablet category, its latest offering may just mark its return to the Android
tablet market.
