Salora launches 2 Android Jelly Bean tablet for Rs 4,999 & Rs 5,499

Salora Launches 2 tabs with a 7inch display, while the cheaper one gets 800x480 pixel resolution & 512 MB RAM; at a slightly higher price you get 1280x600 pixel resolution & 1 GB RAM.
Salora, a well-known TV brand from yesteryear, and a new entrant in the Android device market, has launched its first two Android tablets in India, priced at Rs 4,999 and Rs 5,499. Both tablets get 7inch displays and support only WiFi . Both get 4 GB inbuilt memory, a 3200 mAh battery and 0.3 megapixel camera in the front and no rear camera. However, both are different in other aspects and while the cheaper Salora Pro tab runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system the Salora Pro Tab HD is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Salora Pro Tab has a 1.5 GHz dual core processor coupled with 512 MB RAM and has a 0.3 megapixel front camera, and 3200 mAh battery. The tablet comes with inbuilt memory of 4 GB. The display of this tablet supports WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution, priced at Rs 4,999.
Salora Pro Tab HD, on the other hand, supports better resolution of 1280 x 600 pixel and also gets a better 1 GB RAM, but only a 1.2 GHz processor. Given that it has better RAM and Android Jelly Bean performance should be appreciably better and the display resolution is also much higher, priced at Rs 5,499.
Since the price difference between the two is only Rs 500 we think one should opt for the Salora Pro Tab HD.

Microsoft Release Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7, Download

Microsoft release Internet Explorer 10 is aimed at PCs running on Windows 7, the most used version of Microsoft Corp.’s flagship operating system for PCs.
A preview version of Internet Explorer 10 has been available for Windows 7 machines since mid-November. The final version of Internet Explorer 10 will be automatically sent to all Windows 7 computers set up to get updates.
Internet Explorer 10 is primarily designed for tablet computers and other devices responsive to touch, including a new breed of PCs.
Even though relatively few Windows 7 PCs can be controlled with fingers on a display screen, Microsoft is confident Internet Explorer 10 will still have widespread appeal because it loads websites 20 percent faster than its predecessor, said Ryan Gavin, Microsoft’s general manager for the browser.
”Tens of millions” of people downloaded the preview mode on Windows 7, Gavin said.
About 90 percent of Windows PCs have been programmed to get the automatic updates, Gavin said. It could take several weeks before the Internet Explorer 10 updates are sent to all those computers. Internet 10 doesn’t work on XP, Vista or other older versions of Windows.
Internet Explorer 10 already comes with machines running Windows 8, a dramatic makeover of the operating system that came out four months ago. More than 670 million PCs rely on Windows 7.

HP Jumps in Tablet Croud with Slate 7 Android tablet

HP showcased its Slate 7 Android tablet. Here we take a look at its impressive Specs
HP Slate 7 has put people in a bind. A very attractive and very rightly priced seven-inch tablet will certainly make people go week in their knees. Everyone would like to pick one for him or her, but for the past experience. Should I talk about it at a time when a very good product has just been launched.
The earlier experiment of TouchPad tablet wasn’t that memorable. It had disappointed HP’stablet fans so much that many had vowed never to go for any tablet that came from HP furnaces. But I am sure with this inexpensive and well endowed tablet, the experience is going to be great. And anyone who had used TouchPad tablet will certainly desire to check it once to see the difference.
To be true, so far HP had resisted the lure of Android OS. It is the first HP tab to be running on Android. HP’s first tablet TouchPad came with itsown operating system the webOS. Now the company has turned up with a nice Android tablet PC. The device will feature a 7.0-inch 1024×600 resolution display that makes use of the FFS+ LCD technology. It is up with a powerful 1.6GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory.
In its quest to provide top specs, HP has given the tab a MicroSD card slot. The Slate 7 will further offer a microSD card slot for expanding memory beyond the available 8GB. As for connectivity, it will have options like Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/b and Bluetooth 2.1. The device will mount a 3MP rear camera and VGA front camera. Plus, it will offer stereo speakers and Beats Audio support. It is to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean preinstalled.
A review in Engadget is full of praise for the tablet from HP. “A stainless steel frame lends the whole thing some much-needed rigidity, while the matte, soft-touch finish on the back gives the fingers a comfortable resting place” says the review. Others too are equally praiseful for HP and its new tablet.
HP Slate 7 release date has been set for April 2013 and the 7-inch device will be made
available at an affordable price of $169

Samsung announced Note 8.0 an 8-inch Tab with S-Pen & Calling Facility

The Korean company announced on Sunday in Barcelona that the Galaxy Note 8.0 will have an 8-inch screen, putting it very close in size to the Apple's tablet, which launched in November with a 7.9-inch screen. It's not the first time Samsung has made a tablet that's in the Mini's size range: it's very first iPad competitor had a 7-inch screen, and it still makes a tablet of that size, but without a pen.
Samsung will start selling the new tablet in the April to June period, at an as yet undetermined price. It made the announcement ahead of Mobile World Congress, the wireless industry's annual trade show, which starts Monday in Barcelona, Spain.

Samsung pushing this as a successor or a device that is a capable variant/off spring of the weird yet super successful Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 . In order to continue down that path, Samsung has chosen to provide a similar experience, but under the Note brand, with obvious advantages of a S-pen and at the same time, the ability to make calls. It is presumed that this device will be capable of running the premium suite apps and the multi screen experiences made popular by the Galaxy Note 2 .
The confirmed specs of the Galaxy Note 8.0 are as below -
*. 8.0-inch (1280 × 800 pixels) TFT Super Clear LCD display
*. 7.95 mm thick, to weigh about 338 grams
*. 4600 mAh battery
*. 2GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal memory with micro SD slow support
*. 5MP auto focus camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera
*. 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex A9 processor
*. 3G HSPA+ 21Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 & 5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct,Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS + GLONASS (3G version)
*. Android 4.1.2 Jellybean
So, this is both a bigger Note as well as a smaller Note 10.1 in terms of specs. The main USP though, is that you can make calls on the device, including phone like functionality thanks to an ear piece on the front. It also fancily takes a jab at the Apple iPad mini with the Galaxy Note 8.0 but the price will decide the final judgement.
We’ll update you with more details as they arrive, till then stay tuned to our blog and all our social media channels. In the mean time, check out the source link for more images.

HTC Launches HTC One Having Ultrapixels Camera, full HD display, 1.7 Ghz , 2Gb Ram

HTC One features a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display of 1080p resolution (that's 469ppi). It should be able to match the image quality of the Butterfly's unit.
The One is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset (the same ticking inside the LG Optimus G Pro) utilizing a quad-core 1.7GHz Krait 300 processor, Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM.
The camera of the HTC One sports a 4MP sensor and 1080p@30fps video recording (with HDR). The sensor has what HTC calls Ultrapixels, which are much larger than the regular smartphone pixels and promise vastly improved per-pixel quality and low-light performance. The smartphone also offers gyroscope-based Optical image stabilization which should come in handy for video recording.
The HTC One will have 32GB or 64 GB of non-expandable storage and rich connectivity settings including LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4 and GPS with GLONASS.
HTC One will launch running on Android 4.1.2 but the 4.2.2 update is already in the works.
The new flagship is made out of aluminum and is about 9.3 mm thick. It has stereo speakers at the front with impressive 93db loudness and a 2300 mAh non-removable battery. Also, its Power/Lock key on top is transparent and doubles as an IR port to control home equipment.
HTC One will be available in black, red and silver colors and will launch in March this year. HTC has already made deals with 185 carriers worldwide including USA's AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint; all major UK carriers and many more. There is still no info on its retail price, though.
