The Android 4.0 based Simmtronics XPad
X1010 features 10.1 inch display & 1.2 GHz dual core processor.
Simmtronics, an Indian tablet manufacturer,
has launched a new 10.1 inch display based budget tablet for Rs 8,499, which happens to
be the cheapest 10 inch tablet currently available in India from a known brand.
Named Simmtronics XPad X1010, it is based on Android 4.0 ICS operating system.
It features a 10.1 inch display with 5
point touch and a healthy 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. For a smoother
performance, the tablet has a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A8, dual core Mali 400 graphics
processor and 1 GB RAM.
XPad X1010 has 8 GB of internal memory and
supports up to 32 GB of expandable memory. The tablet also comes with a VGA
camera in the front for video chat but doesn't have a rear camera.
Simmtronics has put a 5600 mAh Lithium
polymerbattery with claimed 150 hours of back up and sixhours of internet
browsing time. For connectivity, the tablet also offers WiFi and HDMi and
support 3G via dongle. XPad X1010 weighs 610 grams andis 10.5mm thick which is
good.
Simmtronics manufactures its tablets in
India andhas so far launched two tablets before this one. The first one - Xpad
X720 - is a 7 inch tablet with only WiFi connectivity and is available for Rs
3,999. The other one is the 8 inch display bearing Xpad X801 which comes with a
free detachable keyboard and costs Rs 8,499.
